Dr. Dana Khdr Sabir

Assistant Professor

Dr. Dana is an associate professor of molecular microbiology since 2019 at the Charmo University/ Iraq. He has a Ph.D. degree in microbiology from the University of York/ UK and MSc degree in Biotechnology from the University of Essex / UK.

Dr. Dana has over 12  years’ teaching experience of both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at different universities in Iraq such as Charmo University, University of Sulaimani, Komar University of Science and Technology (KUST), and the American University of Iraq in Sulaimani (AUIS), where he has been responsible for teaching students different subjects in the field of biology including Microbiology, Medical Bacteriology, and Molecular Biology.

Dr. Dana is an active researcher; he has published over 20 research articles and has participated in several professional development programs. He was also a participant of the prestigious Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program (2017), where he received 10 weeks of training in different teaching methodologies and was introduced to state-of-the-art research techniques at the University of Central Oklahoma in the United States.
